The story of the game revolves around the victims searching for Maria Flores, the missing sister of Ana. The victims featured are Ana, Connie, Julie, Leland, and Sonny. The game features five different killers: Leatherface ( Kane Hodder), the Cook, the Hitchhiker ( Edwin Neal) and two other family members new to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, Johnny ( Damian Maffei) and Sissy ( Kristina Klebe). Before release, the game had a technical test which ran on May 25–29, 2023. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on August 18, 2023, also releasing on Xbox Game Pass on the same day. The game features Kane Hodder as Leatherface and as a stunt coordinator, as well as Edwin Neal reprising his role of The Hitchhiker from the original film. It features co-operative gameplay and player versus player (PvP) combat. It was developed by Sumo Nottingham and published by Gun Interactive. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is an upcoming survival horror game based on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.
